Week 3 # Discovering Flickr

What a fantastic day it is today, the sun is shinning and there is very little wind. If we can't have rain we may as well have beautiful weather. I have chosen the sunset and the campsite image as there is nothing better than being down the river with family and friends enjoying a quiet drink while watching the sun set over the mighty murray river.
With this activity i have played around with flickr and looked at lots of photos and images. The uploading was easy (I think I've done this right). Well bye til next week.

BACK AGAIN

Well here I am again, it's been almost a week since my last attempt at this. Today is going to be yet another challenge with having to add a picture. Having co- workers helping each other with this activity has been great. Well it's time to go home now, and im impressed with what i've done today.

No rain in sight

I was lucky enough to be on a late today so I thought I would go for my daily trek down the river, I even managed to get enough enthusiasm to jog for a very short distance (very short i might add, have to remember I'm off to work later.) To my surprise there seemed to be lots more sand and less water, a bit frightning although to be expected since it doesn't know how to rain here anymore. Once again the predictions for rain today has not come true but then the day is not yet over. I often wonder about how in other part of the world there is floods, cyclones and tsunamis devastating peoples lives and yet we can't manage to get a few millimeters of rain. On a positive note there has been word that when a certain Blackbox tree starts growing it's a good sign that rain is coming. We will wait and see what may happen !!!!

Tuesday September 18

Well hi there fellow bloggers, today is nearly over and its almost time to hit the road home. I shouldn't really complain as home is opposite our magnificient Murray River. Even though there is very little water in there at present it is still worth taking a long leisurely walk along the long winding river tracks. I often wonder whether we will ever get to see our river again, as it was only a few short years ago.

Well what a way to start the week, BLOGGING!!!! This time last week I knew very little about what this involved, this week I have learnt a tiny bit more. To survive in our world today it seems we need to keep up with technology even though some of us think we are too old to learn. The next few weeks will be both challenging and exciting.
